Mortal Instruments Movie

There's been lots of talk and questions about the new Mortal Instruments movie. Heres some facts:
The movie is only based on COB
Cassandra Clare has literally no power over the casting, but here's a link to IMAGINARY casting: www.cassandraclare.com/cms/faqs/imaginary-casting

The movie HAS NOT BEEN GREENLIGHTED YET. It is still in the process, but the script is done. Still got a loong way to go...

City of Fallen Angels excerpts

As some of you may have heard, Cassandra Clare has been posting at least on excerpt from CoFA each month. Unfortunately, that will be ending come December. Fortunately, you can always go back and look at them. Here's a link...www.cassandraclare.com/cms/faqs/cofateasers

Read them. They made me giggle and squeal.

Also...in the paperback version of COG, Cassandra Clare put a chapter from CoFA!!!.... But I have the hard-back version T_T....So I went and sat down on the bookstore floor and read it. The saleslady asked me if I was going to buy it or not. I told her I already had it.

Hello. May I borrow your stealie? That thing to draw runes? Oh and I would like to talk to Jaycee. Oh yeah. I live in eye-dris...

So, lots of words in the shadow world are hard to pronounce. I was able to find a few pronunciations...

Stele: Steal
Jace: Rhymes with lace
Alicante: Alli(like alligator)-canti(like cant-eat without the t or candy, but with a t)
Idris: Either eye-dris or ih-dris. I found both...

Clave: Like cave

I looked up iratze, but couldnt find a good pronunciation...sorry!

Mortal Instruments v.s. Infernal Devices

So apparently, some people aren't sure if they want to read the Infernal Devices. These people are wrong.

Actually, I felt the same way. I thought "hmm....no hot, sarcastic blonde(Jace), no sparkly gay warlock(Magnus), no psycho dad(Valentine) and no shmexy tea-lovin freak(Hodge)??? I'm not interested.

BUT THEN...SOME THING MAGICAL HAPPENED. I went online. And visited a website. Which i forget the name of. And it had an interview with Cassandra Clare...

Basically, although Jace isn't in the Infernal Devices, one of his relatives(no spoilers for those who haven't read COG) is in it. His relative is a dark haired, blue eyed dream, apparently, who shares Jace's witty sarcasm and is possibly even more infuriating.

Magnus is in Infernal Devices. And no, he's not gay or sparkly(did sparkles even exist?), but he still has his Magnus-y charm, and turns out, he was never Gay. Just Bi.

Valentine is unfortunately(not) not in Infernal Devices. But theres a whole club of bad guys for you sadistic people out there. And yes, one of them is a family member. Of someone. In a book. Or something.

And as for Hodge...we don't really care that much about him, do we?

Other Reasons to read Infernal Devices:

  • It actually is a good story: Theres angst, romance, and good old sarcasm. It'll keep you on edge, and leave you wanting more
  • It passes the time: Cassandra Clare is writing MI and ID at the same time. One book from each series will be published each year. You might as well read them, it helps pass the time...
  • CAMEO CAMEO CAMEO: TESS APPEARS IN COG! In the epilogue. “‘Magnus stood in the shadow of a tree, talking to a girl in a white dress with a cloud of pale brown hair. She turned as Magnus looked toward them, and Clary locked eyes with her for a moment across the distance that separated them. There was something familar about her, though Clary couldn’t have said it what it was.’” That's Tess. Cassandra Clare said so. Also, the vampire lady, whats-her-face appears in CoFA...

Well...I've had this livejournal account for a looong time now. But I hate journals so I never used it. Maybe this time I can keep the journal for at least a month or two???

This time, rather than discussing my insanely dull life, I've decided to devote my journal to a topic that I just can't seem to stay away from:
The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. And the Infernal Devices series too :D

I'm planning on writing about Mortal Instruments(MI) and Infernal Devices(ID?) news, movies, updates, music, fanfiction, characters, whatever. I detest writing things out when an abbrieviation exists. So lemme explain some abbrieviations which I think are pretty obvious, but just in case...
  • MI:Mortal Instruments
  • COB:City of Bones
  • COA: City of Ashes
  • COG: City of Glass
  • CoFA: City of Fallen Angels
  • CoLS: City of Lost Souls
  • CoHF: City of Heavenly Fire
  • ID:Infernal devices(I feel a bit awkward using this one...)
  • CA: Clockwork Angel
I dunno how the abbrieviations for Clockwork Prince and Clockwork Princess are gonna work... CP and CPS maybe???

Well...I wanna leave this entry just for intro stuff...So BYE
